THe Eagle has Landed!

Drumroll please....The eagle mosaic we started with Steve Woods of the
Concrete Couch last fall is finished! The Color Crew will host an unveiling at RES on WEDS DECEMBER 3rd. at 8:30am in front of the school. Next time you're at the school check it out! This project was imagined and created by the 4th and 5th graders of '07-'08. Great job kids! This is the first of what we hope to be a tradition of "legacy" projects. Each year, the 5th graders will help create a lasting work of art that will be integrated into the elementary school landscape.

Ridgway Eagles

Update: November 7th, Miss Elliot and Ms. Marcantonio have collected a handful of Eagle entries and are still waiting for a few more. We will be announcing the winning design shortly!

Ridgway Elementary School had a school wide contest to come up with a new mascot in 2005. Students entered drawings and essays which the kids voted on. Eagles won hands down which is now our official mascot.

We are currently searching for a kid friendly catchy logo that embodies the soaring noble spirit of the mighty eagle to put on t-shirts, hoodies, water bottles etc...

Ridgway's Middle and High School art students are currently submitting design ideas as an extracurricular activity. Color Crew & RES staff will judge the entries and award the winner with a prize!
